This is a metamorphous of the Beatles, Yesterday and Today album, from the original “Butcher Cover” to the “Trunk Cover”. Using Paint.NET, I was able to combine the two images to create several overlays. The purpose of this endeavor is to be able to identify a paste-over cover. Sometimes, the eyes can play tricks and what you may believe is there, isn’t. However, with this little guide, hopefully, one can have better clarity as to the positioning of each of the original background elements of the “Butcher Cover” to better identify a paste-over cover, or Second State cover.
